Tracy Forbush

Tracy Forbush is an adept executive with a diverse background in education, social services, IT asset disposition, and international development. With a passion for empowering individuals and fostering inclusive learning environments, Tracy has dedicated her career to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Having served in the U.S. Peace Corps, Tracy brings a unique perspective and a deep understanding of cross-cultural dynamics to her role as the Executive Director of Global Montessori Academy. During her Peace Corps service, Tracy worked closely with local communities, collaborating on projects that focused on education, community development, and empowerment. This experience not only honed her leadership skills but also instilled in her a strong commitment to promoting education as a catalyst for social change.
With a solid foundation in social services, Tracy has a deep appreciation for the importance of holistic education. She believes in the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes personalized learning, independence, and respect for each person's unique abilities. As Executive Director, Tracy is dedicated to creating an inclusive and empowering environment where students can reach their full potential and become compassionate global citizens.
Tracy has a B.A. from Truman State University, an M.A. in Education from Lindenwood University, and 13 years of experience in nonprofit and education leadership. Native to St. Louis, Tracy has also lived in Australia and the Philippines – but she has called Kansas City home since 2014. Preferring to be outdoors, Tracy enjoys wine tasting, camping, and playing golf with her husband Kiff, who is thrilled she’s finally taking golf lessons. Tracy is a self-professed bird nerd who finds it difficult to fully engage in her hobby when accompanied by their two bird dogs, Ruby and Gus.
